Strongboxes are items the player crafts, enchants, then opens for the chance at some useful skilling supplies and Dragon tools.
These are great for training your skills, as each step gives a different type of xp.
Strongbox Creation
First, you must chop the wood. There are different levels of strongboxes and each one uses a different type of wood. See below for recipes.
The next step is to turn your collected logs into planks which will be used later. "Use" a knife on the logs to create planks.
Next, you must mine the ore. Like the different types of wood, each box requires a different type of nails to open, and keys made of different materials have different chances of success. Remember, any type of bars above iron also require coal.
After you have mined the ore, naturally your next step is to smelt it into bars. This step should be pretty self-explanatory, just bring your ores (and, if necessary, coal) to the furnace and select "Smelt".
Once you have your bars, the next step is to smith them into nails and keys. Each type of box uses a different kind of nails, so pay attention to what tier of box you are creating so you get the recipe right. See below for recipes.
After you have all the materials (planks, nails, keys to open them), it's time to put your strongboxes together. Select "Use" on your nails and click any plank in your inventory. If you've got the right combination of planks and nails, an unenchanted strongbox will be created. |

Enchanting Your Strongboxes
Below you will find a list of strongboxes and the runes required to enchant them. Once you have the required runes, simply click the strongbox you wish to enchant and the game will do the rest. Once your strongbox is enchanted, it's ready to open! Note: See Runecraft for information on obtaining the required runes.
