Attack is your melee skill that determines your accuracy while fighting monsters. As you raise your Attack skill, you will deal damage more consistently and it allows you to use higher tier weapons to deal even more damage.

How to train Attack

In order to gain experience in the Attack skill, you need to have your attack style set to Accurate or Controlled. Accurate gives accuracy bonuses for using it, whilst controlled splits your experience up between the 3 melee skills (Attack, Strength, and Defence). If you want to focus mainly on Attack experience, you should use Accurate.

Attack bonuses and accuracy

Weapons will give certain attack bonuses while using certain attack types. These bonuses can be found under your "Equipment Stats" section. Weapons that work well with their specific attack bonuses will give huge advantages in melee combat. Especially when you take your targets defensive stats into account.
Attack type Weapon proficiencies
Stab Daggers, swords, and pickaxes
Slash Swords, axes, battleaxes, two-handed swords
Crush Flails, warhammers, pickaxes, axes, two-handed swords

Weapons

These are the current melee weapons that RuneSaga has to offer.

The table below is split into 4 parts. The left most column tells you the attack level required to wear said piece of gear.

The middle column's are the picture of the weapon and the name. The two left are subsequent level requirements that are on some of the items.
