A player needs to activate the perks to take advantage of them. You can have two perks activated at a time, and freely switch between them.
Perks is the second form of meta progression on RuneSaga. Located at the bottom right of your HUD, you will find this icon 
which opens up the Perks interface. To take advantage of these perks a player is required to spend fragments, obtained from various sources withihn the game, to unlock and further upgrade perks.
Ironmen have a 25% discount towards unlocking combat Perks and a 50% discount towards unlocking miscellanious Perks.
