These Purple Ewoks are a part of the zone 2's last room out of 4, in order to kill these a player must have a invention level of 15, 75 kill count is needed in order to complete this room to move on to the boss.
Once completed you now have unlimited access to Ewok Commander.
You will not need to re-do the killcount in this room once you have completed it.
The masks from this npc are scrapable at Yes Man for invention experience and 2 x Arcane orbs.
