Heroic soul when combined with Cursed spirit logs, a player can add it to the bonfire in the Whomping Woods lobby for a 30 minute, 10% chance of taking 80% reduced damage. You can stack multiple of the same log to increase the time.

Creation
Souls can be obtained by depositing a Soulshard into the Well of Souls or as a rare drop from a Giant Trolls 1/2k.
The Well of Souls will spit out one of these 5 souls, at random. You do not choose which soul you get

A player can combine souls and Cursed spirit logs into different variants that buffs the player for 30 minutes, by taking advantage of the Strange Machine in the Whomping Woods minigame lobby.
