The Stygian's hood (corrupt) requires 75 Defence to equip, and is one of four melee pieces of the Stygian's set (corrupt). The corrupt versions is the baseline equipment obtained for Temple of Trials, or bought from Zalak for 3000 Corrupt remnants.
A player can upgrade the equipment set twice in order to obtain the current best in slot melee equipment in the game. In order to upgrade Stygian's hood (corrupt) you need the full set of corrupt gear, all three Temple of Trials Machines, an AoE Crystal (melee) or the Demonic glyph.
You do not have to choose which between the two, you can inset both the crystal and the glyph into the same set.
