The Inctance

Upon entering Malphas's instance Soldiers, Eyes and Demonic creatures will spawn. Simply pray melee and use AoE in order to take them down. A player needs to kill 100 of these monsters, before Malphs spawns. Your minion kc is tracked on the left hand side.

Once the 25m for the instance is paid, you are guaranteed 10kc of the demi-boss. If you happen to die or teleport out after 3-7kc, you have to pay the fee of 25m again, but you do not have to kill another 100 Soldiers, Eyes or Demonic creatures.

Gear and Inventory

Although this is doable in T4, we recommend getting T5 to save on resources like; food, potions and coins.

Strategy

For Malphas I rock mage for the 100kc, the 25m is to get you into the room, so it'll leave the spot open for the necronomicon when you switch. You could swap out a row of brew/restore for a heart and some anglers if you need to double eat. I usually just brew above 90hp and restore every 3rd sip (as one should)

I have this tile marked, and always stand here as the 100kc is about to finish, I can switch my gear and turn off auto retaliate.

Shift right click, and tag-all, , that way you can see if he is stood on top of you during the fire phase. Make sure you have the "highlight tile" in NPC Indicators active.

Activate protect from missiles and piety, and start attacking him, he will hit through prayer, just like any other zone boss. When he summons the fire on the ground, run immediately to the safe spot, and do not attack, he will tp to the safespot during the fire phase. Move out from underneath him, whilst being in the safe spot ofc. Sometimes he is stuck on top of you, and you can't do a darn thing about it. Just wait until the fire subsides, if that should happen to you.

Upon each kill, run back to the marked tile.
